UX, Application UI, Responsive Web Design
The previous version of Revit Color Suite was a software installation. That meant the user experience portion of our approach had to account for updates to the design systems so they would be more in line with a modern web-based application.
With this design overhaul, we wanted to make sure this version of the Revit Color Suite felt more in line with the rest of the brand. So we capitalized on the styling from the much established residential portion of the brand; giving their offering a stronger brand first approach.
We capitalized on modern UI conventions to make using the Color Suite easy and fluid. We wanted to not only make the experience visually appealing but be sure new and veteran users could quickly jump to the new platform without a learning curve.
Probably one of the toughest adaptations was moving from a traditional L Frame Architecture to a Stacked Content Approach. But with any responsive platform, accounting for variable sizing, devices and use cases made this an ideal solution.
