The "Astronaut Helmet" became the core visual, embracing the idea of adventure and unlikely heroes. We loved the unique and creative approach of a helmet used for space exploration embodying how a cyclist views the ride.
But it didn't truly come together until we started utilizing the accompanying visuals to add uniqueness. Give it flare and personality. These pieces not only turned it into a "living logo" but it gave NOMI lots of flexibility in how they portrayed their brand from piece to piece.
Influenced by skate culture, we wanted the word mark to bring forward the idea of the adventure. Pushing your limits with every ride, just you, the bike, and the road.
By having the letters connect with a continuous line, we illustrated the ride. The journey from point A to B. But this concept of "connected" also allowed us to deliver an underlying value of community these cyclists share.
