With all this love and care for the material and craftsmanship in each product, we wanted to create a brand that embraced those very qualities.

The BCo. Art identity needed to embody a craftsman and an artist. Not just visually, but through execution and material.

 Bringing a brand to life and making it memorable is vital to success. For BCo. Art that was finding a way to make the experience around the products greater. We did this through the packaging. Say you ordered a wood plank sign off the website. When your sign arrived, it would be packed in butcher paper with the BCo. Art identity stamped strategically over the paper. The package was sealed with clear tape that had the primary logo printed on it. Unpacking the sign, the customer would find a BCo. Art tag secured to the wooden sign by a piece of hemp cord tied nicely around the wood. This cord also held a stamped envelope that had a handwritten letter with a story about where this wood came from and how it was acquired.  These touches turned a purchase into a personal journey. One that felt substantial, and was memorable. It made the act of buying the product satisfying, but giving it as a gift was a celebration. As humans we like stories, and when our gifts have meaning and a story can be shared around them, we celebrate it.

 With all the website solutions today, not every business needs a custom website. That was the case for BCo. Art. We utilized Squarespace to simplify the process of maintaining updates. The CMS is so friendly that it would allow for our partner to make updates themselves. Additionally, Squarespace is a fantastic e-commerce solution. This was a need to have due to the nature of our partners business. A platform like Squarespace is great as long as you still take the time to do the UX and Design–too many people just let the template drive. In this case, photography was king, so we just made sure it was front and center, got everything else out of the way–and ended with a site that's super easy to use.   www.bco-art.com
